These funds will be appropriated as indicated in Exhibit"A" of the proposed ordinance. REQUEST: Request an ordinance to amend the Capital Projects Budget Ord 16-73 to establish the program appropriations of lapsed Fuel Tax Increase funds as shown on Exhibit A (attached to the ordinance). BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): At June 30, 2016, Ord 14-39 remaining appropriations have lapsed. Lapsed funds require reappropriation for Department of Public Works to be able to expend on roadway and bridge projects. Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action.
