ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
PARKING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to update the Hawai`i County Code to
match existing field conditions.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-281, Schedule 29, Parking
prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow-away zone, subsection (c), South Hilo, be
amended by deleting existing items (22), (25), (26), and (27) and renumbering appropriately:
[(22) Waianuenue Avenue, Hamakua side, from two hundred forty feet
makai of Laimana Street to Kapi`olani Street, between the hours of
7:15 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on school days.

School Annex crosswalk, from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on scheel
days; 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and

(26) Waianuenue Avenue, Puna side, from four hundred five feet makai
of Laimana Street and extending one hundred fifty eight feet
towafels-Kapi`olani Street between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 5:30
p.m. on school days.

SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and
underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
