RESOLUTION NO. "731 16
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S HEARTFELT
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER MARGARET WILLE FOR HER YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Council Member Margaret Wille represented Council District 9 in the
2012-2014 and 2014-2016 council terms; and
WHEREAS, during the past four years, Council Member Margaret Wille has served as
Chair of the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Energy Sustainability (2012-2014 and 2014-
2016), Vice Chair of the Committee on Planning (2012-2014), Vice Chair of the Committee on
Public Safety and Mass Transit (2012-2014), Vice Chair of the Committee on Environmental
Management (2014-2016), and Vice Chair of the Committee on Governmental Relations and
Economic Development (2014-2016); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Margaret Wille has consistently demonstrated
unwavering dedication, strong leadership, and outstanding public service to the residents of
Hawaii Island, especially to her constituents in Council District 9; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Margaret Wille will complete her term of office at noon
on Monday, December 5, 2016, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for
all Council and Committee meetings held during her years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincerest gratitude to Council Member Margaret Wille for her years of service
to the County of Hawaii and offers its best wishes for her continued health, success, happiness,
and good fortune in her personal and professional life.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to Council Member Margaret Wille.
