Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred
Resolution No. 726-16, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 726-16, transmitted by Public Works Deputy Director Brandon Gonzales,via
Communication No. 1179 dated October 25, 2016, grants a variance from Chapter 3,
Section 3-12(a), Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended),to allow one ground
sign at the new entrance to Waikoloa Beach Resort, at the intersection of Waikoloa Beach Drive
and Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway, Tax Map Key: 6-09-008:030 (Zoned "0" Open District).
The resolution grants a sign variance to Waikoloa Development Company for a ground sign
measuring 36 square feet in area.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 726-16, and recommends its adoption.
