Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 255, reports as follows:
Bill No. 255, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 1150, dated
October 26, 2016, amends Ordinance No. 16-73, relating to public improvements and financing thereof
for the fiscal year July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017.
This bill adds the Parks and Recreation Pana`ewa Equestrian Center Repairs/Improvements - County
project for$150,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General
Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - Fund Balance and or Other Sources($150,000). Funds would
be used for renovations, improvements, and upgrades to its facilities.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-6(e) of the Hawai`i County Charter, at any time during the fiscal year, the
Council, by ordinance adopted by the affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the entire membership,
may amend the capital budget for that year.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 255, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
