Jrt�.uF �1!r <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII •_ <br />4j� pF•N�,.1� <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />25 17 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE DANIEL R. <br />SAYRE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION TO ASSIST THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WITH REFURBISHING ITS RADON RESCUE BOAT. <br />WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization committed to providing essential equipment to the Hawaii Fire Department to help <br />save lives; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department, Ocean Safety Bureau, is in need of funds to <br />refurbish it Radon rescue boat and has requested assistance from the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial <br />Foundation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Radon rescue boat is utilized by the Hawaii Fire Department rescue <br />teams and is necessary to helping save lives here on the Big Island; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire <br />Department to provide a grant to the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation to assist the Hawaii <br />Fire Department with refurbishing its Radon rescue boat. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
