LEGISLATION TO DECRIMINALIZE MARIJUANA
The legislation would reduce the classification of possession of one ounce or less
of marijuana from a petty misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and up
to a $1,000 fine, to a civil violation punishable by fines and/or community service.
