Subject: Confirmation of Joseph Kamelamela as Corporation Counsel
This is my statement in support of the confirmation of Joseph Kamelamela as Corporation Counsel of the County of
Hawaii. I had the privilege of being his legal support for about 8 years at the Office of the Corporation Counsel. In my
opinion, no one has worked as hard and as tireless for the County as Joseph. There was no "clock" for him while he was
at work and many nights he burned the midnight oil especially while he was in trial. It was not uncommon to see an
email from him at 2 a.m. in the morning. He has a tireless work ethic and loves the county and the community, and I
strongly believe he has shown that to be the case while he was employed at the Office of the Corporation Counsel. I
humbly request that Joseph Kamelamela be confirmed as Corporation Counsel.
