RE: Police Trial
Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
I am writing to ask you to give your approval for an appeal of the recent verdict and plaintiff awards
iu the recent police promotion case. I believe the conviction to be obviously and completely
UNJUST and certainly the award amounts were OUTRAGEOUS! The plaintiffs are all public
servants are they not?
As you will soon hear and see, there were MANY PERTINENT FACTS crucial to the fairness of
this case that were NOT ALLOWED by the presiding Circuit Court Judge, Ms. Riki May Amano.
1 humbly ask, in the name of TRUE justice, that you listen CAREFULLY to ALL of the "missing"
facts. 1 cannot help but feel, given the true "lay of the land" that you will see that an appeal is not
only recommended, but NECESSARY.
Il is my strong belief that once the playing field is LEVELED and EVEN, the outcome of your
appeal will be totally different. As a voting member of this community, as a tax payer I ask that
you VOTE FOR AN APPEAL! This County does not deserve to suffer such blatant injustice.
Thank you most sincerely for your consideration and time.
