ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 18, CHAPTER 25 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE 1983, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO UNPLANNED (U) DISTRICT USES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 25-232 (a)(3), Article 18, Chapter 25
of the Hawaii County Code 1983 is amended to read as follows:
11(3) [Processing, handling, and sale of agricultural
products produced on the premises if done at
least one hundred feet from the front property
line.]
Processing, storing, packing, shipping, and
selling of agricultural products grown on the
same premises, provided that where noise or
odor impacts on neighboring properties are
anticipated or where the form of the product
is changed, such as by peeling, crushing,
slicing, mixing, cooking, canning or other
alteration of their harvested form, the site
or building used for such activity shall be at
least one hundred feet from any property line."
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 3. In the event that any portion of this
ordinance is declared invalid, such invalidity shall not affect
the other parts of this ordinance.

DISTRICTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 25-232 (a)(3), Article 18, Chapter 25
of the Hawaii County Code 1983 is amended to read as follows:

SECTION 2. Section 25-237, Article 18, Chapter 25 of the
Hawaii County Code 1983 is amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 25-237. OTHER REGULATIONS.
(a) In order to assure that development is
orderly and many small parcels of land do not come
into existence prior to more comprehensive zoning,
each main use or main building shall be located on a
building site having not less than five acres.
(b) If a legal building site in any U district
has less area than is required, then the yard
requirements of the A district shall apply. If such
site contains less area than the A district reouires
then the yard requirements of the RA district shall
apply 11
