Dear Councilman Curt Tyler;
I am seriously concerned because of the vicious attacks against the Chief of Police,
Wayne Carvelho. From what information I have been able to collect, the complete
story has yet to be told. I urge you to do all within your ability to continue the
investigation until all of the facts are laid on the table.
I know from my personal experience as President of the Ilawai'i Youth Patrons,
Chief Wayne Carvelho has tirelessly and without thought of himself, been one
of the strongest supporters of our goal which is to provide the youth of this Island
with incentive and ability to make their lives more productive and raise their
expectation for their own future.
I believe his character is unimpeachable and can only pay tribute to a man who
has diligently worked and supported the future of our own kids. I ask you again to
do all within your power to retain this man as the leader of our law enforcement
agency.
