COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 57 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2017 OUTSTANDING OLDER
AMERICANS AWARD LUNCHEON.
WHEREAS, the Office of Aging represents the County of Hawai`i in the planning,
coordination, advocacy, and administration of programs that enable older people to live
independently and with dignity; and
WHEREAS, the Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon is an annual event
sponsored by the Office of Aging, which honors older adults who contribute and make a
difference in their communities; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Aging is requesting funds for expenses related to the 2017
Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon, which includes the seniors' lunches, bus
transportation, and awards; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Office of Aging to
provide financial assistance for the 2017 Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Executive on Aging and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
