Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 9, reports as follows:
Bill No. 9, transmitted by Finance Director Collins Tomei, via Communication No. 65, dated
January 5, 2017, amends Ordinance No. 12-129, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement.
This bill amends Ordinance 12-129 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental
agreement for financing wastewater improvement projects and authorizing issuance of General
Obligation Bonds ($11,322,000) for financing qualified wastewater public improvements of the
County of Hawai`i to expand the project scope barminutor replacement and other upgrades.
Kalaniana`ole Interceptor Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II $8,622,000
Kula`imano and Papa'ikou Dewatering & Barminutor Replacement $2,700,000
There was no discussion on this measure then the vote was taken on the motion to approve and
passed with nine ayes.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 9, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
