RESOLUTION NO. 66 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO
CONDUCTING PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES, AND EVENTS THAT PERPETUATE
HAWAII ISLAND'S DIVERSE CULTURES AND HERITAGES.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation supports educational and
recreational programs that promote Hawai`i Island's culture, art, and history; and
WHEREAS, the Culture and Education Division of the Department of Parks and
Recreation conducts programs, activities, and events designed to celebrate and perpetuate the
many diverse cultures and heritages on Hawai`i Island; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to assist with expenses related to conducting programs, activities, and
events that celebrate, perpetuate, and promote Hawai`i Island's diverse cultures and heritages.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
