RESOLUTION NO. 74 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE TWO BASKETBALL MINI HOOPS
FOR THE KEKUAOKALANI GYMNASIUM.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation provides introductory instruction
in its recreational facilities in at least four of the following sports: basketball, baseball,
volleyball, tennis, flag football, track and field, and badminton; and
WHEREAS, the mobile, basketball mini hoops at the Kekuaokalani Gymnasium are
broken and cannot be repaired; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase
two basketball mini hoops for the Kekuaokalani Gymnasium; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase two basketball mini hoops for the Kekuaokalani Gymnasium.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,700
CREDITED TO:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
