Hot houses are valued each year upon the basis of the replacement cost less depreciation. Although the real property tax law expressly provides for exemptions for various matters, no such exemption presently exists for saran covered hot houses. In order that such hot houses be exempted, an amendment should be enacted to Chapter 246, particularly Section 246-23, Hawaii Revised Statutes : Request the Corporation Counsel to draft a resolution for trans- mittal to the State Legislature to amend Chapter 246, Section 246-23, Hawaii Revised Statutes for real property tax exemption of saran covered sheds. � - No . 102.2: John A. Hoag, Ad Hoc Committee on Housing Informs that their committee is currently formulating goals and objectives in order that they might formally organize and make the transition from an ad hoc committee on housing to a more formal body that might be able to meet this challenge with substantive action. Request that the Council appoint one of their members to be a charter member of this body: Recommends approval of the request that the Council appoint one of their mei;4bers to be a charter member of the ad hoc committee on housing.
