The following are the recommendations of the Planning,
Economic Development and Legislative Committee which were
considered at its meeting of May 29, 1969:

No . 198.1: Anthony Paul, Chief of Police
Transmits an in-depth categorized report of crime
incidents occurring in public parks reported to
the police during the period of January, 1967, to
April, 1969. Informs that a further study will be
made for introduction of amendments to the vagrancy
law at the 1970 session of the State Legislature.
The present law is felt to be too broad and vague
and its provisions may be unconstitutional:
Request the Corporation Counsel
to discuss this matter with the
Chief of Police and submit

• support the appeal of Boise Cascade in their
request for zoning changes and the installation
of underground utilities in lieu of sidewalks,

in gift to the State of Hawaii with site area and
acreage to be determined and selected by the
Department of Education:
