On Act 251, the Department of Labor 1) has agreed to work with the Kona Economic Opportunity Office in establishing an MDT program for that particular target area; 2) is also negotiating with community college officials to begin training of workers for Hawaii 's garment industry. On HCR No . 101 study, the narrative of Hawaii 's manpower needs is presently being drafted and informs that within a month, public hearings will • be conducted on each of the major islands to seek opinions of manpower needs in the State of Hawaii : Received and file .
