Setting aside land in subdivisions 'and communities for play area. 2. Encourage developments to have open green areas. 3. ' Maintain and increase our shoreline open for enjoyment of all. 4. Preservation of historical sites, scenic areas and scenic vistas. Received and file. No. 655: Corporation Counsel Re: Amendment to General Plan Advises that any proposed amendment to the General • Plan be deferred pending clarification of the legal issues involved in the Dalton case (Docket No . 4852, Charles E. No. j�127 i i lute: JAN 7 1970 PEDLC-21 - 2 - December 30,00 656: Corporation Counsel Re: Motion 88 - Resolution Requesting Establishment of State Quarantine Station on the Island of Hawaii Informs that in Section 1(A)5 of Act 155, SLH 1969, the sum of $150,000 has been appropriated for the planning and construction of an animal quarantine station in Hilo and requests that their office be advised as to the nature of the contents of the resolution contemplated by the above motion: Request the administration to ask the State Department of Agriculture for planning funds for the facility. Boshard, Chairman, Planning Commission Re: Rezoning Request - Liliuokalani Trust, Keahuolu, North Kona, Hawaii (TMK: 7-4-08:Portion 1) Recommends approval of the attached proposed Bill No . 683 to change the district classification from Agricultural one acre (A-la) to Village Commercial 10,000 square feet (CV-10) in Keahuolu, North Kona: Recommends passage of Bill No. 683 on first reading. No. 661: Henry K. Boshard, Chairman, Planning Commission Re: Rezoning Request - Eleanor R. Beers, Kahei Home- steads, North Kohala, Hawaii (TMK: 5-5-01:56) Recommends approval of the attached proposed Bill No. 684 to change the district classification from Agricultural 20 (A-20a) to Agricultural 1 acre (A-la) in Kahei Homesteads, North Kohala, Hawaii: Recommends passage of Bill No. 684 on first reading. No. 662: Henry K. Boshard, Chairman, Planning Commission Re: Street Name for Namoku Subdivision, Namoku, Hamakua Recommends the adoption of the attached Resolution No. 185 to legally name the County dedicated road "Olopua Place, " which is a native tree to Hawaii with pale yellow flowers and bluish-black fruit: Recommends the adoption of Resolution No . 185. Boshard, Chairman, Planning Commission Re: Rezoning Request - Pruss Corporation & Winegardner, Inc. , Holualoa 4th, North Kona, Hawaii (TMK: 7-7-04:12, 51 & 52) Recommends approval of the attached proposed Bill No. 686 to change the district classification from Resort-Hotel 1,250 square feet of land area per unit (V-1.25) to Resort-Hotel 750 square feet of land area per unit (V-.75) in Holualoa 4th, North Kona, Hawaii: Recommends passage of Bill No. 686 on first reading. �No. 670: Council Chairman Submits for the Council' s information a copy of a letter to Mr. George Correa, President of Big Island Taxi Drivers Association, from Mr. 0. A. Byrne, Superintendent, Hawaii District Airports in regards to pre-arranged ground transportation services at Hilo Airport. Informs that under current Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Ground Transportation Services at Public Airports, Hilo Taxi Operators may pick up pre-arranged passengers for business upon compliance with the rules and regulations: Received and file.
