Yuda, Assistant Corporation Counsel Re: C-198/PEDLC-8; C-198.1/PEDLC-10; 'C-198.2/PEDLC-17; C-198.3/PEDLC-20 - Vagrancy Law Transmits a resolution requesting the State Legislature to repeal Section 772-1 (vagrancy) and Section 772-5 (loitering) and to enact a new loitering statute: (Resolution No. 199) Recommends adoption of Resolution No. 199. 0681.1: Lloyd T. Sadamoto , Deputy Director, Dept. of Research and Development Re: Sampan Bus Study (C-681/PEDLC-22) As per request, transmits updated reports on "A Study To Determine How Hilo ' s Unique Sampan Buses Can Be Kept Operating: " Refer'matter to the 1970-71 budget for consideration. �No . 704.1: Vernon H. Nunokawa, Executive Director, State Public Utilities Commission Re: C-704 Acknowledges receipt of the subject communication and informs that the expressed desire of the Hawaii County Council shall be received for the record as a protest or opposition to the proposed freight rate increase by motor common carriers: Received and file. No. 715: County Clerk Transmits a letter from the Big Island Traffic Safety Council regarding HB 254 and SB 152 for consideration. These bills call for the lowering of the presumptive limit for alcohol in the blood from .15 to .10 percentage weight of alcohol in the bloodstream: Recommends approval of HB 254 and SB 152 for lobbying pur- poses by the County of Hawaii in this legislative session. tp.05o. 722: Councilman Richard G. Edwards Re: Residency Requirements for New Doctors Memo to Chairman Yamada requesting that the subject matter be brought before the committee: Recommends that the County of Hawaii lobby at this legisla- tive session to revoke the residency requirements for 9. doctors in the State of Hawaii. AMENDMENT /No. 635.1/ Akira Fujimoto, Manager, Dept. of Water Supply PEDLC-22: Re: t-635/PEDLC-20 - Department of Water Supply Warehouse, Kinoole Street Encloses a letter to the Mayor regarding the subject matter. The letter states that the Water Commission agreed to release the land on condition that either the County or the State assist in funding the cost of constructing the new facility on Leilani Street. Suggests an interest free loan from the County or State: Received and file. (Action taken on Resolution No . 201.)
