Elimination of statutory Board of Disposal and provisions relating to County of Hawaii 's Bureau of Purchases and Supplies : Recommends approval of the bill for lobbying purposes by the County of Hawaii in this legislative session. Increasing the interest rate on installment (cont . ) payments for improvement by assessment : Recommends support of SB 1155-70 for lobbying purposes by the County of Hawaii in this legislative session. /No . 707 : Council Chairman Transmits for consideration "A Bill For An Act" from the Department of Planning and Economic Development . The purpose of this Bill is to allow the Land Use Commission to impose protective restrictions on special permits in addition to those that may be imposed by the counties : 707 .1: Planning Director Re : Comments on Communication No . 707 - To Allow the Land Use Commission to Impose Protective Restrictions on Special Permits Informs that they find it unnecessary to have the Land Use Commission impose further conditions as each county is mandated to establish conditions on each application (SLU Regulations, Part II, Section 2 .25) . The reason being that each county has different allowable densities, height restrictions, setbacks, parking requirements, which can best be imposed by the county involved : Recommends that the County of Hawaii oppose the bill. Edwards Re : Residency Requirements for New Doctors Memo to Chairman Yamada requesting that the subject matter be brought before the Committee: Recommends that the County of Hawaii lobby at this legislative session to revoke the residency requirements for doctors in the State of Hawaii . 411 • PEDLC-25 - 3 - March 5, 1970 No . 734: Mayor Re: Ordinance Prohibiting the Following Of Or Interference with Emergency Vehicles Transmits for the Council's approval a draft of an ordinance (Bill No . 695) prohibiting persons from following or interfering with emergency vehicles. Informs that the draft has been found acceptable by both the Police and Fire Departments: Recommends passage of Bill No . 695 on first reading. . No . 736 : County Clerk Transmits for the Council 's information a letter from the Kona Property Management, Inc . , to Senator Fernandez requesting that additional funds be allocated for the improvement of the Hawaii Belt Road from Milolii Junction to Hookena School : Received and file communication. Recommends support of HB 176$-70 for lobbying purposes by the County of Hawaii in this legis- lative session. b� P-i7,-.m . No . 753 : Terence T. Yoshioka, Deputy Corporation Counsel Re : 1'I-115 Submits as per request, a resolution supporting the World Trade Center for transmittal to the Legislature : Recommends adoption of Resolution No . 209 . No . 756 : Fire Chief Submits for consideration and approval a Bill for an Act relating to Firemen's Working Hours, and requests that it be introduced in the present State Legislature : Recommends support of the bill for lobbying purposes by the County of Hawaii in this legis- lative session. Informs that said rules have been approved by the Mayor and the Corporation Counsel: Recommends approval of the Rules and Regulations .
