The following are the recommendations of the Planning,
Economic Development and Legislative Committee which were
considered at its meeting of April 16, 1970:
COMMUN ICAT IONS
No. 635.7: Council Chairman
Submits for information a copy of a letter to Governor
Burns from Mayor Kimura regarding Resolution No. 201
in which the County Council has granted a loan of
$200,000 to the County Department of Water Supply
in order that they may vacate the premises at Hualalai
and Kinoole Street:

Re: Resolution No . 209
Thanks the Council for Resolution No . 209 supporting
the establishment of a Hawaii office at the World Trade
Center in New York. Informs that the Counties of Maui
and Honolulu have also taken official action in support
of this project and expects Kauai to follow suit:

Acknowledges receipt of Resolution No . 213, Informs
that he is presently investigating the possibility of
accomplishing aircraft bombing practice on other
established target ranges in the Hawaiian area and
have suspended all inert bombing operations at Kauna
Point range pending an investigation into reports of
recent findings of possible historical significance
in the area:

on first reading.

MEETINGS
1. The County Council shall hold regular meetings
for the transaction of public business in the Councilroom
beginning at 10:00 A.M. on the first and third Wednesday
of each month or on the following day if such Wednesday

RECOMMENDATION (Con' .t)
be a public holiday, provided, that the date and place of
any regular meeting may be changed by motion duly adopted
at a regular or special meeting at least one week prior to
the rescheduled meeting date.
2. Special meetings may be called at any time at any
public place by the chairman of the Council or a majority
of the Council in accordance with the provision of Section
13-20 of the Charter.
