The following are the recommendations of the Planning,
Economic Development and Legislative Committee which were
considered at its meeting of November 24, 1970:

Planning Director submits recommendations of the plan
that the County can follow as to coordinating man-made
structures with our natural environment and feels that
in order that Hilo retain much of its natural beauty
and individual personality, the County should take
positive steps in implementing his recommendations :

4.,, Motion 203: ADDITIONAL HOUSELOTS FOR NORTH KOHALA
Refer the subject of additional houselots for North
Kohala, with consideration to the Veteran' s Houselots,
to PEDLC to consider as a lobbying project at the
next session of the Legislature:
Approve and inform the
Governor and the Department
of Land and Natural Resources
that the Council supports this
program.
(The Committee will consider
this as a lobbying item at
the next session of the
Legislature together with
the State, if necessary.)
