The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Economic
Development and Legislative Committee which were considered at its meeting
of June 24, 1971:

Corporation Counsel submits comments on improving the County's
INOlobbying procedures at the next State Legislature:
Receive and file communication and
recommend that the PEDLC Chairman
follow suggestions made by the
Corporation Counsel.
4cv Comm. 1450.1: RECOMMENDATIONS - LAW ENFORCEMENT AND TRANSIENT PROBLEMS (C-1450)
Rev. Henry'K. Boshard submits personal comments on a 10-point
recommendation letter on law enforcement and transient problems
which was sent to the Council by Richard J. Sedlacheck, Chairman,
Law Enforcement Committee, West Hawaii Committee:
Receive and file.
Comm. 1450.2: WEST HAWAII COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS (C-1450)
Chief of Police submits comments on those recommendations
• which relate to the Police Department:
1. Communal living
4. Interim emergency trespass law
5. Program of confronting transients
7. Hitchhiking laws
9. Sleeping in.vehicles
10. Allocation of funds for a footpatrolman in Kailua
Receive and file communication and request -
the Clerk to send a copy of this communication
to the West Hawaii Committee.
