The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Economic
Development and Legislative Committee which were considered at its
meeting of November 1, 1971 :
COMM. 1664: PRESERVATION OF AGRICULTURE AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS
From Planning Director dated October 15, 1971, submitting
for information a copy of his paper on the subject,
"Preservation of Agriculture and Agricultural Lands. "

- � COMM. 1665: DYING OH IA RESEARCH
tty From Governor Burns dated October 14, 1971, acknowledging
receipt of Resolution No. 401 regarding the allotment of
funds to conduct the, dying ohia research. Informs that
no funds will be committed for expansion of this or other
programs until it is deemed that their fiscal condition
has returned to normal:

-COMM. 1669: STREET NAME FOR AN ACCESS ROAD IN WAIAKEA HOMESTEADS
HOUSE LOTS, WAIAKEA, SOUTH HILO (MIK: 2-2-46:4)
From Planning Commission dated October 18, 1971, trans-
mitting for adoption Resolution 418 to legally name the
roadway "Kinai Street , " which means to quench, as fire
and to put out, as a light.
Approve and recommend adoption
of Resolution No . 418.

AMENDMENT
.L COMM. 1665 : DYING OHIA RESEARCH
From Governor Burns dated October 14, 1971,

funds will be committed for expansion of this
or other programs until it is deemed that their

Governor to convey the seriousness
of the situation and request the
release of the funds.
