The following is the recommendation of the Recreation Committee
which was considered at its meeting of April 25, 1973 :
COMMUNICATION
4- No . 240: POLICY ON RENTALS OF COUNTY BUILDINGS & FACILITIES
From Paul Mannen, President, Papaikou Republican
Precinct Club, dated April 10, 1973, requesting the
1 i Council to review its policy on the use of County
recreational facilities, especially community
centers which were built to serve the social needs
of the residents of the community. Informs of the
many complaints from the residents about the
charging of $15 .00 for the use of the Papaikou
Community Center and gym:
Inform Mr. Mannen. that the Council
concurs with the present policy
regarding fee charges for the use
of public facilities when that
activity such as private parties for
weddings, birthdays, anniversaries
and the like, bars the public from
using said facility.
