The following are the recommendations of the Recreation Committee
which were considered at its meeting of February 12, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
to . $$.3 : LILIUOKALANI GARDENS EXPANSION (TMK: 2-1-03 )
Copy of a letter to the Board of Land and Natural
Resources from Mayor Kimura dated January 17, 1974,
asking favorable action on the County's pending
request for the transfer of State lands for the
purpose of expanding Liliuokalani Gardens:

/CM-24: RESTROOM FACILITY AT LILIUOKALANI GARDENS
Request by Councilman Farias that the Recreation
Committee pursue further the construction of a rest-
room facility at Liliuokalani Gardens (the former
Isle Restaurant site) :
�No . $$.4: From Robert T. Fukuda, Parks & Recreation Director,
dated January 2$, 1974, informing that per letter
dated January 17, 1974 (C-$$.3 ) , the transfer of
State lands was again requested. To date, no formal
action has been taken on the request and until
affirmative action is taken, no construction can
take place. They are, however, working on the design
of the proposed picnic shelters and a restroom facility
in order to expedite the project should the land be
transferred :
