The following are the recommendations of the Recreation Committee
which were considered at its meeting of March 12, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 702 : RULES RELATING TO THE PANAEWA EQUESTRIAN CENTER •
From Robert T. Fukuda, Parks & Recreation Director,
dated February 25, 1974, transmitting for approval
Rule 3 — Rules Relating to the Panaewa Equestrian
Center, in accordance with the County Charter and
the Administrative Procedures Act :
Recommend approval of the rules
relating to the Panaewa Equestrian
Center.
4e4. L- No . 713 : RETRIEVAL OF FOUL BALLS - FRANCIS F. C . WONG GRANDSTAND
From Robert T. Fukuda, Parks & Recreation Director,
dated February 25, 1974, recommending the appropriation
of $2,000 to purchase three batting cages to minimize
the problem during practice sessions. Informs that
they will be meeting with the grandstand architect,
Mr. Richard Matsunaga, to seek a solution to problems
occurring during the actual game and will keep the
Council informed of their investigation:
Accept recommendation of the Parks
& Recreation Director to purchase
the batting cages and request the
Director of Finance to set up the
funds.

the request of Mr. Richard Murphy that the County
purchase portable stables and rent them to horsemen
when the Hoolulu stables are demolished :
