The following are the recommendations of the Recreation Committee
which were considered at its meeting of July 9, 1974:

iNo . $23 .1: RELOCATIpN OF SUMO RING & SHELTER TO WAIAKEA RECREATION
CENTER (C-823/RC-24)
From Robert T. Fukuda, Parks & Recreation Director, dated
June 25, 1974, informing that they concur with the request
of the Big Island Budo Association to relocate the sumo
ring and shelter to the Waiakea Recreation Center.
Ordering of the necessary materials and building permit
applications have been processed and construction is to
begin shortly:

June 25, 1974, informing that the suggestions offered by
Mesdames Betsy Yoder and Mary W. Earl will be investigated
and given serious consideration when planning of the
required parking stalls for the Hoolulu Park ballfield
complex is initiated :

RECOMMENDATION
No . 1: ONEKAHAKAHA BEACH PARK - SECURITY SERVICE
Approve the request of the Parks & Recreation Department
to have two security guards on duty at Onekahakaha Beach
Park during the peak periods of Friday and Saturday
nights.
