The following are the recommendations of the Recreation and Transportation
Committee which were considered at its meeting of January 29, 1975:
COMMUNICATION
Lc, !?_ No. 1153: ACQUISITION OF NEW SAMPANS
From Edward Harada, Chief Engineer, dated January 16, 1975,
requesting the Council to endorse a change in policy whereby
the sampan buses will not be manufactured but five new
20-passenger buses conforming to modern safety standards will
be purchased. Informs that the Transportation Committee
approved the policy change to substitute five small transit
units for sampan buses.
Approve request.
Res. 337: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
Amends the salary ordinance for the Department of Parks and
Recreation, Recreation and Elderly Activities Divisions.
Approve and recommend adoption.
