Ariyoshi to Christopher Cobb, Chairman of the Board of Land & Natural Resources, dated January 29, 1975, attaching findings and recommendations of Environmental Council for information and use in determining the merits of the requested use of Conservation District land by the County of Hawaii. Council defer action and speak with the Governor on the position of the Council regarding the seawall for Kaimu Beach. &C- No. 38.4: KAUMANA PARK From Milton T. Hakoda, Director of Parks & Recreation, dated February 6, 1975, submitting an updated chronological report on status of the Kaumana Park project. Request the administration proceed with the acquisition of the Chang property for development of Kaumana park. Herbst dated February 12 , 1975, suggesting thatthe stadium complex adjacent to the Civic Auditorium be named the "Walter Victor Stadium" in honor to the memory of a man who devoted much of his adult life working with young people in sports. Santos , Chairman of the Highway Safety Council, dated February 7, 1975, recommending an amendment to the Traffic Code to establish a 2-hour parking time limit in Kailua Town in Kona. • Approve request and refer to , Corporation Counsel to prepare the proper amendment. to. 1196: RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES - WEST HAWAII From RTC Chairman Dante K. Carpenter. dated February 19, 1975 , submitting a letter from RTC Vice Chairman William Kawahara to Christopher Cobb, Chairman and Member of the Department of Land & Natural Resources , requesting assistance in providing outdoor recreational activities for West Hawaii.
