Matayoshi dated September 30, 1975 submitting a detailed report regarding acquisition of a park site at Kaumana. Receive and file. 4c d- No. 975.11: KUA BAY From Assistant Corporation Counsel Stephen G. Bess dated October 10, 1975 , submitting a copy of letter recently received from the Department of Land and Natural Resources granting the County' s request for fifty acres of land together with land required for road access for the development of the regional beach park at Kua Bay. Informs that after , an up-dated appraisal of the property is received, they will be in a position totry to negotiate a settlement in the acquisition of the nine acres at Kua Bay; should they fail to reach a settlement agreement, they will file an action in Eminent Domain to acquire the property. Recommend the County acquire the 9-acre parcel through eminent "domain. • (Oppose: Mr. Levin) /Su C- '4o. 1009.13 : LAU2AHOEHOE POINT From Congresswoman Patsy T. Mink dated October 11 , 1975 informing that she has been advised by the Coast Guard that their property management division will complete their final review of the reported surplus property at Laupahoehoe Point within 30 days and will turn the title over to the General Services Administration for final disposition. Hakoda dated October 7,. 1975 submitting a list . of Volcano residents who volunteered to serve on the Volcano Park Advisory Committee following the meeting on October 1st. Recommend Parks and Recreation Director select two retired volunteers to serve.- - on the Volcano Park Advisory Committee. Inaba, President, GHR Investment Company, from Mayor Matayoshi dated October 10 , 1975 suggesting that the offer of a five-acre parcel within the Aina Pua Subdivision be made directly to the Council, pursuant to Section 13-12 of the County • Charter. Schuster, District Engineer, Highways Division Department of Transportation, dated October 17, 1975 , • submitting for favorable consideration amendments to the Traffic Code.
