Corps of Engineers, Assistant Director of Civil

Pacific Ocean Division Engineer to reply directly
to Mr. Matsunaga.

STUDY PARI-MUTUEL BETTING
From RTC Chairman dated January 21, 19/6 submitting
letter sent to the horse racing and rodeo organi-
zations requesting comments and recommendations on
the report submitted by the Ad Hoc Committee to
Study Pari-Mutuel Betting at the Panaewa race track
facility.

COUNTY BUS TRANSIT SYSTEM

Declaration for the Bus Transit System in Hilo and
other related correspondence dated March 21, 1973.
Informs that the transit system for Hilo is exempt
from Chapter 343, HRS, and that no further EIS for
the system is required.

RECOMMENDATION:
/, . No. 1 : TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHTS - DOWNTOWN HILO
<H5F/H17 Direct the administration to look into the possible
traffic light signalization of Kamehameha-Waianuenue-
Bayfront; Kamehameha-Kalakaua-Bayfront and Kameha-
meha-Haili-Bayfront immediately and discard the con-
sideration to extend Ponahawai Street through
Mooheau Park. Request that a report be submitted
