Matayoshi dated March 9 , 1976, submitting a progress report of the Kua Bay acquisition. Receive and file. No. 1751: 1974-75 SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT REPORT From Charles G. Clark, Superintendent, Department of Education, dated February 23 , 1976 submitting for information a copy of the 1974-75 School Bus Accident Report. Receive and file., 1760. 1: SPECIAL BUS RUNS From Interim Transit Coordinator Dennis Jakahi dated March 11, 1976, informing that to set up a bus specifically for the AVIS Challenge Cup tennis matches would constitute a violation of Chapter 51-1, HRS; therefore, they are not planning a bus run for the matches. Receive and file. No. 1768: VANDALISM From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated March 2, 1976, advising that upon completion of the study on vandalism currently being conducted by the Corporation Counsel ' s office in collaboration with the Department of Parks & Recreation, a report consisting of the loss due to acts of vandalism, existing preventive measures and recommended corrective actions will be forwarded to RTC. Matayoshi dated March 8, 1976, submitting reply to eleven questions relative to the Environmental Impact Statement for the County Bus System. Receive and file. C- No. 1780: SPEED LIMITS ON AKONI PULE HIGHWAY From Chas. L. Schuster, District Engineer, State Highways Division, dated March 16, 1976, responding to inquiry about the speed limits on the Akoni Pule Highway: 1) They have no objection to eliminating the 35 mph limit through Kokoiki and raising the limit to 55 mph. 2) They recommend that the 35 mph limit be retained in the vicinity of the Doi Store; however, the length of the 35 mph section can be shortened considerably. Submits for consideration amendments to the Traffic Code to accomplish the changes. Approve and refer to Corporation Counsel to prepare proper amendments to the Traffic Code. ORDINANCES Bill 216: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENTS (C-1721/RTC-62) Amends Chapter 6 Traffic Code) , Article 15, Hawaii County Code, as amended, to authorize "No Parking" zones. Approve and recommend passage on first reading. Bill 218: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENTS (Ordinance 115) Amends Chapter 6 (Traffic Code) , Article 15, Section 8 (No Parking Zones) , Hawaii County Code, as amended.
