The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of October 16, 1973:
COMMUNICATIONS
�No. 422: WATER SHORTAGE - VOLCANO AREA
From Council Chairman Yamada dated August 24, 1973,
transmitting the request of Mr. V. Marciel, Volcano
Lions Club, requesting that something be done to
relieve the water shortage in the Volcano area.
Mr. Marciel suggested that the extension of the Mt. View
water system to the Volcano could be done through
financing by Federal, State and County funds.
No. 422. 1: From Robert T. Chuck, Manager-Chief Engineer, Division
of Water & Land Development, Department of Land & Natural
Resources , date October 11, 1973, submitting a status
summary of their activity in the Volcano area.
Receive and file; and transmit a copy
of Mr. Chuck' s letter to Mr. Marciel
for his information.
No. 448. 1: MR. ANTONE FERNANDEZ'S CONCERNS (C-448/PWC-18)
Copy of a letter to Mr. Fernandez from the Chief Engineer
dated October 3, 1973, responding to his concerns on
Items 2 and 4:
Item 2 - Spraying chemicals on the roadside in residential
areas.
Item 4 - Return of property on Kinoole Street.
