The following are the recommendations of the Public Works '.
Committee which were considered at its meeting of February 27, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
�No. 292.1: LEGAL ACCESS TO ONEKAHAKAHA SUBDIVISION (C-292/PWC-1$)
From Lavenia L. Waldstein dated December 27, 1973,
notifying that the situation has not been remedied and
requests that :
1. The "Passable Road" advocates, in this instance, be
forgotten;
2. The construction, pavement and other requirements
for a sole access street and turn around for
cul-de-sac road, under Ordinance 62 be duly noted ;
3 . A proper and adequate remedy of the situation be
considered and provided, under the law:

From John Fernandez, President, Hilo Downtown Improve-
ment Association, dated February 14, 1974, requesting
the closing of Keawe Street from Kalakaua to Mamo and
also Haili Street from Keawe to Kamehameha from 1 p.m.
to 3 p.m. on April '.6, 1974, for an ethnical musical
day and sidewalk sale:

ORDINANCE
Bill 1025 : KIHALANI HOMESTEAD ROAD
Amends Ordinance 586, the Capital Budget, by adding
the Kihalani Homestead Road project, and providing
funds from unexpended balance of $23,750.79 under
Ordinance 359, "Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park Natural
Swimming Pool and Small Boat Harbor Plans and Survey."

RECOMMENDATION
No . 1: STREET LIGHT IMPROVEMENT - INTERSECTION OF WAIANUENUE
AVENUE & RAINBOW DRIVE
Request the Chief Engineer to improve the street light
at the lower intersection of Waianuenue Avenue and
