The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of June 26, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 597.2: DEDICATION DEED - KAWAILANI PLACE SUBDIVISION
From Clifford H. F. Lum, CorporatiorirCounsel, dated
June 19, 1974, recommending that the Correction Deed
submitted by Kawailani Place, Inc . , correcting the
description of the property, be accepted by the Council:
Recommend acceptance of the
Correction Deed .
'No . 860: CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT AND REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
PROJECTS BY COUNTY FORCES
From Edward Harada, Chief Engineer, dated ay 31, 1974,
requesting Council approval to permit the Department of
Public Works, through its own forces, to accomplish those
CIP projects included in Ordinance 5$6, as amended, and
the CIP ordinance for FY 1974-75 within the $4,000 to
$15,000 range and repairs and maintenance projects:
A- e- $60.1: From Donald K. Yamada, President, Hilo Contractors' r
Association, dated June 17, 1974, requesting an oppor-
tunity to work with the Department of Public Works to
help determine those projects that are considered "too
troublesome" to put out to bid :
Approve request of the Chief Engineer
and receive and file Communication 860.1.
