The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of October 2, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 997: REAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR LAPSED PROJECTS (M-41)
(Bill 79) From Stanley A. Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated
September 1$, 1974, submitting in response to Motion 41,
a bill to re-appropriate funds to projects that lapsed,
totaling $1,769,500:
Approve and recommend passage of
Bill 79 on first reading.
✓ No. 1006: NEED FOR MORE WATER WELLS
Presentation by Dorothy S . Hirowatari at the County
Council meeting in Laupahoehoe on September 25, 1974,
advising of the need for more wells to be developed on
higher elevation areas along the coastlines as it is
quite evident that the island is not having enough
rainfall:
Refer to Department of Water Supply
for disposition.
