The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of November 27, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
ISgs-g- No. 848.1 : AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE 50
(Bill 93 ) From Earl T. Nakasato, Deputy Corporation Counsel,
dated October 26, 1974, submitting an amendment to
Ordinance 50 concerning regulation of parking at
the County Building and establishmentof parking
fees for County personnel by substituting the word
"violation" in place of "misdemeanor" in Section 1.27,
the penalty provision to conform to the State Penal
Code.
Approve and recommend passage
of Bill 93 on first reading.
4ec. C. - No. 1053 : DEDICATION FOR CEMETERY USE
From James Kutsunai, General Manager, Homelani Memorial
Park, Inc. , dated November 12, 1974, informing that all
plans and approvals for the construction of a mausoleum
on a parcel of land (TMK: 2-3-36) containing an area of
10. 799 acres at Ponahawai, South Hilo, was based on
Resolution 33 adopted on February 14, 1967 which was
repealed by Resolution 79 adopted on April 5, 1967.
Requests the Council to amend Resolution 79 by deleting
the second paragraph of Section 4 which sets a time limit
for complete development of the entire area. Two-thirds
of the 10. 799 acres has already been developed.
Approve request and refer to
the Corporation Counsel to draft
a resolution superceding
Resolution 79 to grant continua-

Bill 65 : Amends Ordinance 501 (Building Code) adopted on
(Amended) July 26, 1972, establishing procedures to be followed
in the design of buildings or structures in SF zoned
areas identified as being subject to inundation by
rain water or sea water, or both, and repealing all
sections and parts of sections of ordinances of the
County of Hawaii in conflict therewith:

of Bill 65 , as amended, on second
and final reading.

Bill 66 : Amends Chapter 8 (Zoning Code) , Article 17, Hawaii
(Amended) County Code, as amended, establishing a flood hazard
district designation (SF) and stipulating conditions
for construction in said flood hazard district and
repealing all sections and parts of sections of
ordinances of the County of Hawaii in conflict there-
with:

of Bill 66, as amended, on second
and final reading.

March 6, 1973, specifying provisions to be made in the
construction of buildings or structures in areas with
SF designation on the zone map identified as being
subject to inundation by rain water or sea water, or
both, and repealing all sections of ordinances of
the County of Hawaii in conflict therewith:

Bill 68: Amends Chapter 9 (Subdivision Code) , Article 2, Hawaii
County Code, as amended, establishing procedures to be
followed in the design and approval of subdivisions
located in SF (Flood Hazard) zoned areas identified as
