Fukuda, Parks&. Recreation Director, dated December 3, 1974, informing that they are presently negotiating the purchase of a 0.289 acre area (Richard M. Dodo, owner) and a 3 .0 acre area (Bishop Estate, owner) as additions to Alae Cemetery. Mr. Dodo has expressed his desire for a land exchange which would involve a portion of the property acquired from Bishop Estate rather than outright purchase. Therefore, requests Council authorization to enter into a land exchange with Mr. Dodo : Authorize land exchange with Mr. Dodo on condition that the area nor the value shall be greater than the area and value of the piece of land being received from Mr. Dodo . Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated November 29, 1974, requesting the Council to approve County's 7 .62% participation in the total cost of the project (construction of two-lane highway from the Saddle Road in the vicinity of Puu Huluhulu to the summit of Mauna Kea by way of Hale Pohaku--upper half of the road ) and formally appropriate the funds after bids are opened for the job. No . 1094 : OPIHIKAO BEACH ROAD, KAUAEA, PUNA, HAWAII TMK: 1-3-03 From Edward Harada, Chief Engineer, dated December 5, 1974, requesting the Mayor be authorized to execute the agreement with Bishop Estate to lease a 60-foot wide easement within Kauaea to construct, operate, repair and maintain the roadway, and that the Director of Finance be authorized to set up the $50.00 non-refundable fee. Informs that the estimated cost of the temporary widening is S$,000 and can be performed by the Puna Road crew from Puna Road Improvement fund under Ordinance 6$: Approve requests, subject to approval as to form by Corporation Counsel of the Offer of Lease agreement submitted by Bishop Estate. ,5c, t?- No . 1096 : DISPOSAL OF BUILDING (Res . 324) From itanley J . Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated December 11, 1974, submitting a resolution to authorize disposal of the former Tony Leeb Realty office building that was acquired so that Palani Road could be widened .
