The following are the recommendations of the Public Works. Committee
which were considered at its meeting of January 29, 1975,:
COMMUNICATION
�No. 1152: NAPOOPOO - HONAUNAU HIGHWAY, SOUTH KONA
From Edward Harada, Chief Engineer, dated January 17,
1975, notifying that the Department of Public Works
will be holding a public informational meeting for
the project on Thursday, February 6, 1975, 7:00 p.m. ,
at the Yano Memorial Hall, Kealakekua.

RECOMMENDATION
, , ' . No. 1: RUBBISH DUMP OPERATIONS
. PWl3/100 Request the Administration to pursue with the Department
of Health whatever steps are necessary to continue the
existing rubbish dump operations which are presently
being required to close down and thereby creating a
problem for rural residents , until such time as the
anticipated transfer stations and/or landfill operations
are fully operational throughout the island by the
County of Hawaii.
