Advises owner to make request to County Council to have same conditions applicable to present establishment. • Receive and file. - No. 627.1: RECONSTRUCTED VEHICLES - RULES AND REGULATIONS From Chief of Police Ernest J. Fergerstrom dated January 15, 1975 , submitting amendments to the Rules and Regulations of the Chief of Police Governing Reconstructed Vehicles. Approve amendments to the Rules and Regulations Governing Reconstructed Vehicles. 'No. 1162: IMPROVEMENTS TO HOLUALOA TOWN From Councilman William S. Kawahara dated January 29, 1975, requesting comments from the Chief Engineer on requests by residents in the Holualoa area. `1162.1: From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated March 6, 1975, submitting comments and recommendations on C-1162. Lai dated February 10, 1975, requesting that Kulana Street in Paukaa and Amauulu Road be repaved at an approximate cost of $8,000 through prior appropriations in the Road Fund. AQ C- 1189.1: From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated March 6, 1975 , submitting cost estimates and recommending that the projects be considered in the 1975-1976 CIP as there are no available prior appropriations . Refer to the 1975-76 CIP budget for consideration. �No. 1212.2 : HILO DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION - MALL DAY From Calvin Tung, Vice President of the HDIA, dated March 13, 1975 , requesting permission to have free parking for Mall Day on March 22, 1975. Receive and file. (Sec , a- /No. 1214 : ABANDONED MOTOR VEHICLES From R. J. Williamson dated February 28, 1975, citing the traffic hazard of an abadoned vehicle near the entrance to Hawaiian Beaches and Parks Subdivisions and recommending that the law which requires that the owner of an abandoned vehicle be given 20 days written notice to remove the vehicle be amended to 48 hours notice. 4 . C - 1214.1: From Mayor Matayoshi dated March 21, 1975, submitting comments on C-1214. Recommend that the administration (1) develop a firm plan of dis- posal and/or storage of abandoned vehicles in compliance with Chapter 290, HRS , as amended; and ( 2) inform the Council on the cost of administering the program. Also request the Corporation Counsel to draft an ordinance which will provide for recovery cost with respect to those vehicles where the owners can be located. T. .r. 111 PWC-50 - 3 - April 2, 1975 �No. 1231: SIGN VARIANCE - WAIAKEA RESORT VILLAGE From Bill Kikuchi of The Kikuchi Group dated March 6, 1975, requesting a sign variance on the corner of Kekuanaoa and Mililani Streets to be erected for the Waiakea Resort Village. Li - 1231.1: From Raymond Suefuji, Planning Director, dated April 1, 1975, recommending that the sign variance be approved, subject to conditions as listed. Accept recommendation and approve of the sign variance request, subject to conditions as contained in the Planning Director's letter. &O- No. 1234: ROAD IMPROVEMENTS - ORCHID ISLE ESTATES SUBDIVISION From Erick T. S. Moon, attorney, dated March 13, 1975, requesting on behalf of Mr. & Mrs. Morris Moche that the County maintain the road improvements located in Orchid Isle Estates Subdivision under Section 265-6, HRS, "Counties to Maintain Privately Constructed Improvements, When" .
