•-1MYY Os/. . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •��` '` =• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 77 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR THE ANNUAL <br /> OUTSTANDING OLDER AMERICANS AWARD LUNCHEON ON MAY 5, 2017. <br /> WHEREAS, in 1963, the month of May was designated as Senior Citizens Month by <br /> President John F. Kennedy and was later renamed to Older Americans Month in 1980 by <br /> President Jimmy Carter; and <br /> WHEREAS, Older Americans Month continues to be celebrated locally and across the <br /> country through ceremonies, events, and fairs; and <br /> WHEREAS, in recognition of Older Americans Month, the Hawai`i County Office of <br /> Aging hosts the annual Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon, which recognizes our <br /> kupuna for their extraordinary efforts and contributions to our community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Aging has requested funds to assist with expenses associated <br /> with hosting this year's award luncheon on May 5, 2017; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Office of Aging to <br /> assist with expenses associated with the annual Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon <br /> on May 5, 2017. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $2,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.411.5411.02 Office of Aging $2,000 <br /> Office of Aging OCE <br /> 341 Misc.
