SUBJECT: Request for Presentations/Updates regarding County
Recycling/Composting programs
Pursuant to Council Rule No. 2(12)(c), I respectfully request two hours on the Environmental
Management Committee agenda for a discussion with Paul Buklarewicz, Executive Director
Recycle Hawai`i and Mark Cummings Executive Director of Hawaiian Earth Recycling.
I will be requesting an update on the Recycle Hawai`i Used Motor Oil Recycling program from
Mr. Buklarewicz. I will also be requesting Mr. Cummings of Hawai`i Earth Recycling, provide
an update on the composting program his company provides. Please place this item on the
Environmental Management Committee agenda for its next meeting in Hilo on March 7, 2017.
