The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of April 16, 1975 :
COMMUNICATIONS
No . 206 .5 : AGREEMENT - HAWAII ISLAND HUMANE SOCIETY
From Council Chairman Yamada dated April 4, 1975, trans-
mitting for perusal, a copy of the agreement by and
between the County of Hawaii and the Hawaii Island Humane
Society for the animal pound facilities which was received
from the Mayor's Office:

A.gc.C. 'No 349 .4: ENCROACHMENT INTO GOVERNMENT RIGHT-OF-WAY (C-349 .3/PWC-50)
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated March 27, 1975,
recommending that the same conditions stipulated in their
July 10, 1973 letter to the Council be conditioned and
approval be granted the Bamboo Forest establishment
(formerly known as Kau Kau Place) to retain the greenery
within the government right-of-way:
Accept recommendation of the Chief
Engineer and grant approval to the
Bamboo Forest establishment to retain
the greenery within the government
right-of-way, subject to conditions
• stipulated in C-349 .2.

Commission at its meeting on March 25, 1975 accepted
dedication of the water system and authorized its
Chairman to execute the deed :

from voting. )
No . 1255 : ABANDONMENT RESOLUTION AND QUITCLAIM DEED FOR ROAD
(Res . 377) REMNANT OF THE OLD GOVERNMENT ROAD IN KEEI, SOUTH KONA
(TMK: $-3-09 )
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated April $, 1975,
submitting the quitclaim deed and an abandonment
resolution for the subject road for approval and
authorization for execution of the deed by the Mayor.
Informs the documents have been reviewed and approved
by the Corporation Counsel's Office :
Approve and recommend adoption of
Resolution 377 ; and grant authori-
zation to the Mayor to execute the
quitclaim deed .
