The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of May 29, 1975:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 897. 1: QUEEN LILIUOKALANI VILLAGE, UNIT 1-B
EASEMENTS FOR SEWER AND DRAINAGE
From Katsuya Yamada, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated
May 19, 1975, transmitting for acceptance the Grant of
Easements for the Queen Li.liuokalani Village, Unit 1-B,
and also approvals from the Departments of Planning
and Public Works.
Accept Grant of Easements and
authorize the Mayor to sign the
documents on behalf of the County.
No. 1317: REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHTS - NANAWALE ESTATES
From Richard A. Jackson, President, Nanawale Estates ,
dated May 9, 1975, submitting a peitition for seven
street lights at the locations, as listed, in
Nanawale Estates.
Refer to the administration for
consideration in the street light
priority list.
No. 1319: SIDEWALK SALE - JAPANESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND
INDUSTRY OF HAWAII
From Tony Taniguchi, Chairman, International Festival
of the Pacific, Retail Committee, Japanese Chamber of
Commerce & Industry of Hawaii, dated May 13, 1975,
requesting approval to hold a sidewalk sale on
July 18 and 19, 1975 in Hilo and submits Consent and
Approval signed by the Downtown Improvement Association.
Approve request, subject to conditions
as contained in Chapter 3 , Article 2,
Section 2 of the County Code.

No. 1326: SIDEWALK SALE - HILO SWIM CLUB
From Helen Oss, Chairman, Ways and Means, Hilo Swim
Club, dated May 6, 1975, requesting approval to hold
a sidewalk sale on Saturday, June 14, 1975 and submits
consent from F.W. Woolworth and House of Gifts.
Approve request, subject to conditions
as contained in Chapter 3, Article 2,
Section 2 of the County Code.
No. 1329: NOHONA LA' I SUBDIVISION WAIAKEA, SOUTH HILO
From Assistant Corporation Counsel Stephen G. Bess
dated May 19, 1975, submitting for acceptance a
• deed conveying the subdivision roads and water
system in the Nohona La' i Subdivision and also approvals
from the Public Works and Planning Departments.
Accept roadway dedication deed.
