The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of November 12, 1975:

1o. 1582.1: REQUEST FOR STREET NAME SIGN - KAIEIE HOMESTEAD ROAD

From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated October 31, 1975,
informing that the Department of Public Works' Traffic
Division will install a street name sign as soon as their
workload permits.

No. 1584.1: PARADISE DRIVE - ROAD CONDITIONS (C-1584/PWC-62)
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated October 31, 1975,
submitting correspondence regarding road conditions of
Paradise Drive and the possible discontinuance of postal
service mail delivery within the Hawaiian Paradise
Park subdivision; informs that the roads within the
subdivision are under private ownership and the road
maintenance matter was referred, to the Planning
Department pursuant to the developer's road maintenance
escrow funds filed with the department.

No. 1614: IMPROVEMENT OF KEKUANAOA AND MILILANI INTERSECTION
SOUTH HILO
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated October 28, 1975,
recommending acceptance of the Gift Deed from Waiakea
Corporation conveying Lot 4-B (86 sq. ft. ) to the
County of Hawaii for the improvement of the intersection
at Kekuanaoa and Mililani Streets.

No. 1623: SOLAR HEATlING AT SWIMMING POOLS
From Councilman Andrew C. Levin dated October 24, 1975,
submitting for information correspondence concerning
the possibility of providing solar heading at the
Hoolulu Park and Kona swimming pools with the help of
federal funds.

STREET AND QUEEN KAAHUMANU 'HIGHWAY
From Council Chairman Robert M. Yamada dated
November 6, 1975, transmitting for appropriate disposition
a petition presented by Mr. G.L. Landrum at the
November 5 Council meeting in Kona regarding the removal
of the so-called temporary section of road connecting
Kaiwe Street and Queen Kaahumanu Highway.
