From Deputy Corporation Counsel Katsuya Yamada dated
November 17, 1975, submitting for acceptance the
dedication deed for the roadway in Queen
Liliuokalani Village Subdivision, Unit 1-B-2; also '
' comments from the Departments of Public Works,
Planning and Water Supply.
Accept dedication deed.
/6. 6- No. 1647: HAWAIIAN BEACHES, WATER SYSTEM
Copy of letter to Patrons of Miller and Lieb Water
Company, Inc. , from Stephen K. Yamashiro, Attorney
for Miller and Lieb Water Company, Inc. , dated
November 24, 1975, explaining background from
July 1, 1975 when they assumed control and operation
of the water system at Hawaiian Beaches and notifying
that their company will cease operations as of
November 30, 1975 and all water services will cease.
• Receive and file; and request
Miller & Lieb Water Company, Inc.,
not to terminate the water services
to Hawaiian Beaches Subdivision
but to try and obtain funds for
the period July 1 to October 24, 1975,
by some other method.

Res. 489: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
Amends the Salary Ordinance for the Department of
Public Works, Bureau of Traffic Safety and Control.
Approve and recommend adoption.

Amends the Salary Ordinance for the Department of
Public Works, Bureau of Plans and Surveys.
Approve and recommend adoption.
RECOMMENDATION
Aocpic. No. 1: EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
•(CDA) Request the administration to look into the follow-
ing and report back to the Council:
(1) Provide an additional escape route from
Alii Drive to Kuakini Highway through the
Alii Kai subdivision;
(2) Improve the present disaster warning system
to assure that the sirens will be sounded to
alert residents of an impending disaster; and
(3) Review CIV-ALERT system to assure simulta-
neous broadcasting by electronics media of
Civil Defense information and instructions.
