From Paul F. Seidel dated March 10, 1976, regarding
excess water on the streets in his area and suggests
consideration in the near future be given to the
widening with adequate shoulders of Wailuku Drive and
Waianuenue Avenue, especially with the heavy traffic
since the bus system, the new medical group and the
Boiling Pots project have been completed.

that he has advised the Planning Department of the
Council's request to expedite completion of the Bikeways
Draft Plan and assures that every effort will be made
to complete the Plan at an early date.

C - No. 1837: AINAOLA-KULALOA ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated April 12, 1976,
informing that low bid for the subject project was
$142,275. 60 and funds available amount to $77, 284.09.
Allowing for a 3 percent contingency an additional
appropriation of $69,000 would be required._ Since the
past appropriation was Council initiated, transmits
information for the Council's consideration.
Approve project and refer to Finance
Committee for funding in the area of
"pork barrel" appropriations.
Pet. 26: POWERLINE TO COUNTY POLICE MICROWAVE STATION
From Councilman Kawahara dated April 6, 1976, transmitting
a petition from several residents on Papa Homestead
Road, South Kona, asking why the powerline to the
County police microwave station was not routed via
Homestead Road which is County-owned and would provide
needed electric service to the residents.
