No . 105 .2: ESTIMATED ANNUAL COST FOR MAINTENANCE OF AMBULANCE SERVICE AT WAIMEA DISTRICT From Frank E. Keifer, Administrative Director, Hawaii County Hospital System, dated April 10, 1973, inform- ing that the estimated annual cost for the maintenance of ambulance service for the Waimea district is $47$.00. Requests financial assistance to allow the ambulance service to be implemented without delay: The Committee recommends the appropriation of $600.00 to provide ambulance service for the Waimea district and request the Finance Director to set up the funds. The Committee further recommends that a contract be entered into between the County of Hawaii and the Hawaii County Hospital System to implement the service. Zc• No . 112.1: CLAIM - MRS . No. 217: DONATION - BANK OF HAWAII From Robert T. Fukuda, Director of Parks and Recreation, dated March 21, 1973, requesting approval to accept the monetary gift of $17 .00 from the Bank of Hawaii for the Waiakea Recreation Center: The Committee recommends acceptance of the monetary gift with thanks and that a letter of appreciation be sent to the Bank of Hawaii. 411 FC-5 - 4 - April 17, 1973 No. 225 : REQUESTING COUNTIES TO ASSIST PROGRAM FOR AGING - HAWAII STATE RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION From Stanley M. Miyamoto, Vice President & Convention Chairman, Hawaii State Retired Teachers Association, dated March 22, 1973, asking support of their resolution adopted at their Fourteenth Annual Convention: The Committee recommends receiving and filing the communication and inform the writer that according to latest information, the special revenue sharing allocation will take care of the program for aging. 4, No . 231: LAPSED WARRANT - JOHN ARAKAKI From Stanley A. Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated April 4, 1973, requesting authorization for reissuance of lapsed Warrant No. H6062 for $4 .46 : The Committee recommends granting authorization to the Finance Director to reissue lapsed Warrant No . H6062 for $4.46. L.ec_ No. 250: JOSEPH J . BOTELHO, POLICE OFFICER From Clifford H. F. Lum, Corporation Counsel, dated April 11, 1973, recommending that the County reimburse Officer Botelho the S100 deductible portion of the damages that he has had to bear personally since the damage to his vehicle was sustained while performing his duties as a police officer without negligence on his part : The Committee concurs with the recommendation of the Corporation Counsel that the County reimburse Officer Botelho for the 5100 deductible portion of the damages to his vehicle. 1 All S FC-5 — 5 — April 17, 1973 RESOLUTION to . 51: AMENDMENT TO SALARY ORDINANCE Amends the Salary Ordinance for the Department of Water Supply. ORDINANCES 'Bill 976 : KAMEHAMEHA PARK ROAD WIDENING AND PAVING An ordinance increasing the appropriation of Account No. C-33602, Kamehameha Park Road Widening and Paving, by the sum of 830,000 from the Fund Balance in the Bond Fund . (Intr. by: Mr. Hisaoka) Bill 985 : OPERATING BUDGET An ordinance appropriating estimated revenues for expenditures by the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year July 1, 1973 , to June 30, 1974. (Intr. by: Mr. Matayoshi) Bill 9$6 : CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET An ordinance relating to public improvements and financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 1973 to June 30, 1974. (Intr. by: Mr. Matayoshi) The Committee recommends the passage of the bills on first reading. RECOMMENDATIONS Acc,/' No. 1: AUDIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1972 - 1973 In compliance with Section 10-13 of the County Charter, the Committee recommends the retention of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company to perform audit services for the County of Hawaii covering fiscal year 1972-1973 .
